Long bio
Anthony Voigt is the Founder and CEO of Lucie Money, an AI-powered personal money agent based in Sydney, Australia. Lucie is designed to help people stay on top of their money without having to track it themselves: watching over their finances, telling them what matters and helping them act before they need to ask. The MVP launch target is late 2026.
Anthony spent more than thirty years in Australian financial services before starting Lucie. He worked as a District Manager at ANZ Banking Group, then moved through senior project and strategy roles at Cuscal and Zurich Financial Services. In 2002 he founded Brighton Consulting, later renamed Vermilian, and bootstrapped it into the largest digital agency in the Australian mutual banking sector; Vermilian was acquired by Ultradata in 2014. He spent the next decade as Chief Innovation Officer at Ultradata, leading the redevelopment of the company's digital banking technology stack used by mutual banks across Australasia. He resigned from Ultradata in 2025 to start Lucie.
His writing focuses on the intersection of AI and fintech: how AI can be designed to support better money decisions safely and transparently in regulated financial services, and how AI capability connects with human reasoning more broadly.
Anthony holds an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Griffith University. He is a member of the AICD, CISI, AISA and Fintech Australia.
